OUR PROCESS

“As a non industrial process. The manufacturing of our textiles takes it’s time and aims to leave zero footprint to the earth as every single one of the steps is handmade”

HAND SPINNING
THE YARN

In the case of our artisanal yarns (produced by 100% Fine Suri Alpaca) it is necessary to produce the yarn from scratch by using the process of handspun.

The process starts with the acquisition of the alpaca tops. Which is the pure yarn after being cleaned and carefully selected. After it is hand rolled and carefully twisted in order to produce a very fine yarn.

Each process of hand spinning can take up to 10 hours In total.

HANDWEAVING

Handweaving is a precise manual technique which is operated by very skilled hands only by using the handloom. A precise wooden machine that uses no electrical power.

This technique is commonly used in the highlands of South America and it is known for making intricate designs and patterns with no texture. Creating textiles that can have several uses and have a beautiful finish.

Handweaving is the most popular non industrial manufacturing technique as it is a bit faster than the rest without being harmful to the environment in any way.
